CASCADE CORPORATION ANNOUNCES CHANGE IN TICKER SYMBOL

Portland, Oregon – June 8, 2009 - Cascade Corporation (www.cascorp.com) announced today that its ticker symbol will change from "CAE" to "CASC" effective upon market opening on June 12, 2009. The Company will continue to trade on the New York Stock Exchange. The new ticket symbol more closely relates to the company name. Also, this will eliminate some confusion we have experienced with a public company in Canada whose name matched our old ticker symbol.
